The Policy and Advisory Council (affectionately known as the BAR) acts as the association’s think tank and institutional memory. This council advises the board on all kinds of matters, both upon request and on their own initiative. Whether it’s legal issues, sensitive individual cases, or long-term strategic planning, the BAR provides thoughtful and constructive input.
In addition to giving advice, the BAR helps shape the long-term policy plan and supports the board in drafting other important policy documents. With their broad perspective and experience, they ensure stability and continuity, helping the board navigate through both calm and challenging times.
